My baby is 2 months old today!!!

Today my baby girl  is 2 months old! I cant believe how fast this is going by and how big she is getting. It really does seem like yesterday I just took her home from the hospital. She is starting to hold her head up a lot more and she is starting to smile more. I love waking up to her smiles, its just starts my day off so good. When she smiles everything that made me upset that day or bothered me just goes away. I'm so grateful to have her in my life and I'm looking forward to watching her grow.

Hurricane Earl

There was supposed to be a hurricane coming through late last night, well it more towards the eastern shore but we were still on some kind of hurricane watch. Apparently I don't watch the news enough because I didnt even know about this until my husband asked me about it a couple days ago. Well all of this was a bit to much for me because ive never experienced a hurricane and to be honest I was a bit freaked out. Everyone was talking about having to evacuating and my husband was telling me that we would have to take two cars and the dogs and the baby would drive with me. I couldnt take it all in, I was scared. I went to the commissary on Wednesday which was a bad idea because it seemed like everyone was there. Maybe trying to stock up on some water and food to get ready or maybe just getting ready for Labor day weekend barbeque's. I think both. I definitely was stocking up on some water and I think everyone was too because when I got there most of the jugs of water was gone and one of the workers was restocking the shelves with more. I grabbed what I thought was needed for us. By the time I was almost at the last isle I was pretty irritated. It was just so crowded and I couldnt get through as fast as I wanted because there would be someones cart in the way. I even walked off with someone elses cart. Good thing I noticed it before I walked to far. Im just glad the guy didnt notice!

The next day I was on the computer tracking the hurricane and trying to figure out when it was supposed to be coming through the shore. That night I really wasnt as worried as much because it seemed like everyone else wasn't so I kind of just brushed it aside. The worst that could happen to us would be rain and some wind. I woke up about 3 times early this morning and it seemed like everything was good. No rain no wind. Around 8 am I look out the window and its raining a bit and a little windy but nothing scary. So apparently the hurricane calmed down and went from a stage 4 to a 2. I feel bad for the areas that did get hit but im so happy that nothing bad happened to us. Like I said im not ready for all that. Now its just a gloomy raining day and sometimes I need a day like this. Its a good time to be lazy and have a cup of coffee.

Date Night

Mike and I haven't had any a lone time since I gave birth, but who does right away? So today Mikes mom was going to take Lana and Mikey for the night. I didn't know how I felt about her staying the night only because I haven't been away from her since I came home from the hospital. I mean I go out without her sometimes for a couple of hours but its different when its over night. Anyways, Mike was at his friends house fixing his car and his mom was still driving back from Martinsville and Lana and I were hanging out at the house as always. If you knew me really well you would know that I am impatient person. Well Mike was gone from 11 am till about 7 pm so I was already irritated and over the whole date night thing. Mike kept trying to persuade me to go out but I just wasn't feeling it anymore. He took so long that I just wanted to stay home and go sleep. Mikes mom ended up coming over to pick up Mikey and when she got here Mike had asked her if she wanted to take Lana. Her eyes lit up! But that didn't happen. So it was Mike, me and Lana. We decided to go to Cold Stone and get ice cream. So we buckled up the baby put her in the back seat drove off. When we got there the line was long but Mike stood in it anyway. Finally after waiting in line forever he ordered we took out ice cream outside, sat down and enjoyed them. Lana was already fast asleep in her car seat so Mike and I took our time and just talked. We finally had to leave because we both got stomach aches! Even though we only went to this ice cream shop I enjoyed myself because I was with the ones that I love and that was what mattered the most.

Im happy to say that I am postpartum preeclampsia free!!! My bp has gone back to normal and I feel great. I can finally go out and not have to worry it anymore. Last weekend we had a family outing and went to the Aquarium. I love when we are able to go out and do something together.

Me, Mike and Lana infront of the walk through aquarium. (Mikey's taking the picture)

Mikey feeding Lana, what a good big brother!

Right before we went into the shark tank area

Mikey infront of the shark tank!

This was so cool. My favorite picture of the day!

We had a great time there and Lana did such a good job. She didn't cry at all, maybe just a little because she was hungry, but besides that she was fast asleep the whole time. We did a nature walk at the end and that's when we decided it was time to go home. My feet were hurting and we were pretty much exhausted by then. We had a quick dinner at MC Donalds and then headed home.
